As you know we had submitted a Bid for The Fire Alarm Project in several Divisions ( Project C1172-3 ) as a Prime.
We request a copy of the Bids were submitted by 2 other bidders ( Johnsons Control & Robnet) to Metro in May 08/2019 for this project.
Respectful, considering Metro will review the submitted Bids before any award recommendation, but we just wanted to bring to your attention the couple of followings items about the apparent low Bidder( Johnsons Control with $ 1,642,700.00), as bid documents indicated:
- The Bidder should comply with SBE requirements and use a Metro Certified SBE subcontractor for at least 22% of the Bid for $ 361,394.00
- The Bidder should comply with DVBE requirement to use a DVBE Subcontractor for minimum 3% of work ( $ 49,281) or a DVBE supplier to purchase $ 82,135 through them( To consider $82,135 X 60% = $ 49,281).
- The Bidder should have a listed Subcontractor to ABATE HAZARDOUS MATERIAL From Different Divisions , per Schedule "B" & Schedule "D". Considering per California State License law: Contractor carrying License A , B , ..etc can't abate hazardous material and to perform the abatement , should carry proper License ( C 22) and DOSH number to be able to request the AQMD Notifications. OSHA & EPA also had created the supporting documents for this issue.
